Overview

What retaining walls & masonry looks like done properly

Retaining walls hold back soil and, more importantly, water. A wall without drainage becomes a wall that leans. We build segmental block and natural stone walls on a compacted leveling pad, with clean drainage stone, filter fabric and perforated pipe behind every course, plus geogrid reinforcement where the height calls for it. We also handle brick, block and stone repair on steps, piers and foundations.

Every project is quoted with a written scope so you know exactly what's included before work starts. We handle demolition, preparation, the build itself and the cleanup — you deal with one company, not four subcontractors.

What's Included

Every project covers these

  • Segmental block, natural stone and boulder walls
  • Drainage stone, filter fabric and perforated drain pipe
  • Geogrid soil reinforcement on taller walls
  • Tiered walls for steep or awkward grades
  • Brick, block and stone repair and repointing
  • Integrated steps, caps and seating-wall courses
Our Process

Four steps, start to finish

01

Assess the Grade

We look at slope, soil and where water currently runs before proposing a wall type.

02

Excavate & Pad

The trench is dug and a compacted stone leveling pad is set dead level.

03

Build & Drain

Courses go up with drainage stone, fabric and pipe installed behind as we build.

04

Cap & Backfill

Caps are set and adhered, backfill is compacted, and the area is graded and cleaned.

Why It Matters

The difference a careful job makes

Small decisions in preparation, materials and finish work compound into a result that looks better on day one and is still standing a decade later.

A finish that holds up

Clean edges, correct joints and proper curing or compaction — the work looks right on day one and still looks right after several Maryland winters.

Built on real preparation

Compacted base, correct reinforcement and drainage designed in. The part nobody sees is the part that decides how long the job lasts.

Details other crews skip

Tooled edges, tight transitions, flashing detailed before the surface goes on, and a site swept clean before we call it finished.

A schedule you can plan around

Realistic dates quoted against actual crew availability, and a same-day heads-up from us if weather or an inspection shifts anything.

Our Standard

Detail-driven from start to finish

Premium results come from disciplined habits, not from cutting corners faster. This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every retaining walls & masonry project.

Clear communication

Plain answers, written scope, and one point of contact from estimate to walkthrough.

Measured, not guessed

Dimensions, grades and material quantities confirmed on site before anything is ordered.

Proper preparation

Base, substrate and surrounding surfaces prepped before the visible work begins.

Materials that last

Products chosen for our climate, not for whatever is cheapest on the shelf that week.

Respect for your property

Landscaping, driveways and interiors protected, and debris removed rather than left behind.

Final walkthrough

We review the finished work with you and correct anything before we consider the job done.
